Tracks Maintenance Laborer Job at Ventia in New Zealand

Key Responsibilities of Tracks Maintenance Laborer:

• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of railway tracks, including but not limited to:
  • Installing and repairing track components such as rails, ties, and switches.
  • Ensuring tracks are aligned and leveled correctly.
  • Clearing vegetation and debris from tracks.
• Operate hand tools and small machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with the preparation of work sites, including setting up safety barriers and signage.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
• This role will deliver a high standard of work in line with company, contractual and legislative & safety procedures prescribed and agreed between Auckland Council and Ventia.

Responsibilities of Tracks Maintenance Laborer:

• Full Class 1 Driver’s licence
• Handyman skills is essential
• A willingness to try new things and get dirty
• Be aware of health and safety
• Capable of getting to work for specified start time
• Flexible and open to working on weekends.
