Responsibilities of New Receptionist:

  • Greet visitors and patients, assess their needs, and provide guidance accordingly.
  • Answer queries and provide information in person and over the phone.
  • Carry out assigned tasks and assignments as requested by supervisor/management.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with Doctors, Nurses, and other staff to create a pleasant work atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up appointments according to patient requests
  • Quote prices for products and services.
  • Handle customer transactions at the cash counter, including billing, payment processing, and providing receipts.
  • Ensure accurate handling of cash and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the reception area and ensure an adequate supply of stationary items.
  • Ensure appointment schedules are adhered to with minimal wait times.
  • Handle patient complaints promptly and escalate if necessary.
  • Be flexible with duty timings based on organizational needs.
  • Update shift checklist and ensure all tasks are complete
  • Stay informed about accepted insurance cards.
  • Adhere to clinic/hospital’s vision, mission, and core values.
  • Maintain lobby or reception area appearance.
  • Mentor junior staff and encourage teamwork.
  • Act as a translator if needed.

Eligibility Requirements for New Receptionist:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar organization
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Ability to handle complaints professionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Safety conscious, motivated, and able to manage pressure.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (preferable)
