Responsibilities
- Ring up customer orders quickly and correctly.
- Handle cash, credit, or phone payments.
- Give change and receipts without messing up.
- Keep the counter area clean and stocked.
- Restock straws, napkins, and trays when needed.
- Help the kitchen or food counter during busy times.
- Deal with guest questions or problems politely.
- Close out the register and count money at the end of the shift.
- Watch inventory like receipt rolls, bags, or coins.
- Follow safety and hygiene rules — gloves, handwashing, etc.
- Suggest extras or upsells when it makes sense.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or similar is preferred.
Experience
Not required, but having worked a register or food job helps. 0–1 year is fine.
Skills
- Friendly and patient with customers.
- Can use a POS machine or learn quickly.
- Basic math for giving change.
- Works well when it gets crowded.
- Speaks Arabic and English.
- Fast on their feet and alert.
Knowledge
- Understands food counter flow and how guests move.
- Knows how to clean, restock, and manage small problems.
