  • This role is based at the company’s Brampton hub and involves both local and international transportation, vehicle inspections, and load handling duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across local and international routes.
  • Load, secure, tarp, and unload cargo safely, adhering to transport regulations and company policies.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and navigation tools to reduce fuel consumption and minimise environmental impact.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and monitor overall vehicle condition for safe operation.
  • Maintain detailed records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch to receive trip instructions and relay delivery updates.
  • Obtain necessary documentation and permits for cross-border or special cargo transportation.

Requirements

  • Valid AZ Class License and Air Brakes Endorsement (must-have for Truck Driver jobs in Brampton).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of truck driving experience preferred, especially with long-haul or cross-border deliveries.
  • Knowledge of route planning, vehicle safety checks, and cargo securement practices.
