Skilled Civil Labourer
Responsibilities
- Perform general civil construction and maintenance tasks across job sites.
- Operate machinery including excavators, rollers, dumpers, and small equipment.
- Assist with site preparation, trenching, excavation, backfilling, and reinstatement.
- Read and interpret site plans, locator reports, and construction drawings.
- Safely expose, identify, and work around new and existing utility services.
- Remove and reinstate concrete and asphalt on footpaths and driveways.
- Complete manual handling duties throughout the day.
- Follow verbal instructions and complete daily job-related paperwork.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
Education:
No formal education required. On-site training will be provided.
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working in civil construction, particularly around utility services. Drainage experience is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to operate small machinery and hand tools.
- Concrete placement and reinstatement techniques.
- Understanding of site plans and locator reports.
