What You’ll Do

• Teach children exclusively, with students ranging from 2 to 13 years old in small classes of approximately 6-10 students.

• Deliver fun, interactive 1-hour lessons that include singing, dancing, games, and activities designed to reinforce English communication skills.

• Travel to 4 different classrooms each month, spending one week at each location and commuting by public transportation.

• Work independently at each classroom, taking responsibility for both teaching and student welfare, with bilingual support available from Head Office as needed.

• Collaborate with Japanese English-speaking teachers, who teach three of the monthly lessons while you lead the fourth, creating a well-rounded learning experience for students.

Locations

Peppy Kids Club has openings across Japan starting April 6, 2026 and later. Overseas candidates may be able to arrive in June 2026 or later. Applicants currently living in Japan with a valid visa will be prioritized.

Central Japan:

• Nagoya City (Aichi)

• Nagoya City (Aichi) – Online teacher trainer position (Tue to Sat, 14:00 to 22:00)

• Toyama City (Toyama)

• Kanazawa City (Ishikawa)

• Iida City (Nagano)

• Yaizu City (Shizuoka)

Kanto Region:

• Tokyo – 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday, 13:00 to 21:00)

Kansai Region:

• Osaka City (Tsuruhashi area)

• Wakayama City (Wakayama)

Northern Japan:

• Yamagata City (Yamagata)

• Tsuruoka City (Yamagata)

Western Japan:

• Kurashiki City (Okayama)

• Hiroshima City (Hiroshima)

Kyushu:

• Kitakyushu City (Fukuoka)

• Kirishima City (Kagoshima)

• Nobeoka City (Miyazaki)

• Kumamoto City (Kumamoto)

Qualifications and Experience

Peppy Kids Club welcomes applicants from all over the world who are passionate about teaching children.

Essential Requirements:

• Native English speaker.

• Valid working visa or visa eligibility (sponsorship available for qualified candidates).

• Must live in a location with a vacancy or be willing to relocate.

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is required for visa sponsorship.

• Reliable, responsible, and highly motivated to teach children.

• Cheerful, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented.

Preferred (But Not Essential):

• Experience teaching and working with children.

Compensation and Benefits

• ¥240,000 per month (non-working visa holders may receive a different package).

•  Up to ¥80,000, increasing with tenure.

• Fully reimbursed.

• 10 paid vacation days during the first year of employment.

•  Enrolled in Company Insurance (Shakai Hoken), including health insurance and Japanese pension contributions. Monthly deductions approximately ¥38,000.

• Semi-furnished, single-occupancy apartments available for teachers who require housing.

• Comprehensive 2-week paid training to learn the curriculum and develop classroom skills.

Work Schedule

• Teachers are scheduled to teach at 4 different classrooms each month, spending one week at each location.

• Lessons typically start in the afternoon or early evening (around 3:45 PM or 5:00 PM) and may finish as late as 8:30 PM.

• Teachers usually teach 3 to 4 lessons per day.

• Teachers may be asked to work on Sundays.
