Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Science and Math in English, delivering up to 20 lessons per week to secondary school students.

  • Prepare engaging and effective lessons that align with curriculum goals and inspire student learning.

  • Contribute to curriculum and material development, helping to shape the educational experience.

  • Create, mark, grade, and proctor regular and entrance exams, ensuring fair and accurate assessment.

  • Attend meetings, school events, open schools, and ceremonies as part of the school community.

  • Teach classes on school open days, showcasing the international department to prospective families.

  • Lead summer and winter intensive courses, supporting students during holiday study periods.

  • Instruct and judge at speech contests, encouraging students to develop confidence and presentation skills.

  • Participate in teacher training sessions, continuously developing your own professional practice.

  • Take on homeroom duties, supporting students’ academic and personal growth throughout the year.

  • Perform other duties related to school education as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher who is committed to secondary education and has the experience to match.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must currently reside in Japan and hold a valid work visa.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in a subject related to Science or Math).

  • Relevant teaching experience at the secondary school level.

  • Proven ability to create and implement effective, interesting lessons that engage students.

  • Strong knowledge of the subject(s) assigned to teach.

  • Dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in secondary school education.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a large team of native and Japanese staff.

Preferred (But Not Essential):

  • Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.

  • Familiarity with the Japanese education system and curriculum requirements.

Contract Details and Benefits

  • Dispatch (Temp)

  • ¥3,600,000 to ¥4,320,000 (before tax), based on experience and qualifications

  • Fully covered

  • 5 days per week

  • 8:20 AM – 5:20 PM (within Monday to Saturday schedule)

  • Sundays, one weekday off, year-end and new year holidays, and other days set by the school

  •  Health insurance, pension, and employment insurance provided
