STANDAGE, a fast-growing Tokyo-based startup, is looking for a talented professional to join their Overseas Operation Department and develop product markets for Japanese businesses worldwide. About STANDAGE
Founded in 2017 by two former ITOCHU Corporation employees with a vision to “solve trade inequality with technology,” STANDAGE has grown rapidly from a small apartment startup to a Tokyo office of over 70 professionals. The company is on a mission to create a world where all countries have equal access to all things—developing blockchain-based trade settlement systems, streamlining analog trade operations, and providing export support that makes international trade accessible even for small and medium-sized enterprises. With the recent weakening of the yen, business has expanded exponentially, and STANDAGE is now aiming for an IPO within two years. Key Responsibilities

Develop markets and consult on products for Japanese companies operating globally, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.

Manage overseas projects from start to finish, including formulating sales strategies and executing targeted measures.

Create new business opportunities through crowdfunding platforms, helping Japanese products reach international audiences.

Coordinate exhibition preparations, handling logistics and internal coordination to ensure successful participation.

Collaborate with a diverse, multicultural team, communicating seamlessly in both English and Japanese to drive results.

Work closely with the Overseas Operation Department to align strategies and share insights across borders.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for a results-driven professional with international sales experience and strong language skills who is ready to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Essential Requirements:

At least 2 years of overseas sales experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth.

Business-level or native English proficiency.

Business-level Japanese (N1 equivalent), with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.

Must currently reside in Japan and hold a valid working visa.

Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team of approximately 10 members with varying nationalities and ages.
Preferred (But Not Essential):

B2B sales experience is highly valued.

Experience with crowdfunding, trade operations, or blockchain technology is a plus.

Multilingual abilities are a huge advantage in this international sales role.

Compensation and Benefits

¥4,000,000 to ¥6,000,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Fair evaluation and recognition regardless of nationality—one staff member was promoted to manager just six months after joining, with their annual income increasing by over ¥1 million.

Full-time with a 3-month probationary period (no changes in conditions during probation).

Location: Conveniently located 3 minutes’ walk from Daimon Station (Toei Oedo Line, Toei Asakusa Line), 7 minutes from Hamamatsucho Station, and 4 minutes from Onarimon Station.

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Flextime with core hours 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
