Location & Work Type
- Location: Australia and New Zealand, working outdoors in beautiful green spaces across both countries
- Job Type: Full-time position for hands-on garden labourers
- Shifts: Early start and early finish times (exact hours to be confirmed)
- Schedules: Monday to Friday workweek, giving you your weekends free
- Salary Type: Competitive pay based on your ability and performance in garden maintenance tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Help with garden jobs like hedging, weeding, pruning, and spreading mulch to keep plants healthy and neat
- Use hand tools and power equipment safely to do your work well
- Load and unload plants, soil, and tools from trucks and trailers
- Keep the work area clean and organised every day
- Follow safety rules to protect yourself and the team
- Water plants and assist with planting new flowers or shrubs when needed
- Support team members with other garden tasks to make sure projects finish on time
- Check tools and equipment regularly and report any problems to your supervisor
Requirements
- Must-Have Skills
- Experience in gardening, landscaping, or similar outdoor work is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work while bending, kneeling, or standing for long periods
- Willingness to work outside in different weather, like sun, rain, or cold
- A valid driver’s licence to help with transporting plants and tools
- White Card for construction site safety
- Working with Children Check or willingness to get one
- A strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Preferred Skills
- Previous experience using garden tools and power equipment safely
- Interest in learning more about plant care and garden maintenance
- Enjoy working as part of a team and helping others
- Willingness to take ongoing safety training to improve skills and stay safe
