Higgins
Higgins is looking for a skilled Class 5 Driver and Operator to join our Heavy Maintenance Crew under the East Waikato Network Outcomes Contract (EW NOC). In this hands-on, mobile role, you’ll be transporting plant, equipment, and aggregates to various worksites and operating machinery such as excavators, rollers, and brooms.
You’ll be based out of our Morrinsville branch and play a crucial part in maintaining and improving road infrastructure across the region.

- Full time: 40 hours/week
What You’ll Be Doing
- Transporting mobile plant and materials to roadwork sites
- Operating a variety of machinery: excavators, rollers, brooms
- Driving Class 5 trucks, including 6-wheelers, with manual Roadranger gearboxes
- Supporting your crew on site with general road maintenance activities
- Prioritising health & safety for yourself, your team, and the public
What You’ll Bring
- Class 5 Driver Licence + WTR endorsements
- Previous experience operating heavy trucks and plant machinery
- Comfortable using manual Roadranger gearboxes
- Hands-on, can-do attitude and team-first mindset
