Nordev Contractors Pty Ltd is actively seeking a full-time Dozer Operator to join a current mining and crushing operation in North Queensland, Australia.The situation provides a competitive salary per hour between 50 and 55 Aud. It is the role of a full-time flight-in flight-in flight-out (FIFO), which is 7 days away from a guard from Cairns or Townsville in 14 days. Candidates should be experienced by serving heavy mining units such as dozen, excavators, loaders and broken machines. The ideal candidate will have relevant tickets such as RIIMPO308 for tracked dozers and RIIPRO301A for crushing and screening operations. Applicants should hold a current driver’s license and demonstrate a strong safety-first attitude. Qualifications like S1, S2, S3 will be considered an advantage. Immediate shortlisting will take place for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Use heavy machinery such as dozen, front loader, excavator and crushed equipment on site.
• Regular maintenance and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
• Work closely with team leaders to fulfill daily production goals.
• Follow strict health, safety and environmental protocols on site.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
• Store an accurate log and report on the use of machines and production data.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

No formal education required.

Experience:

At least 2–3 years of experience in mining, quarrying, or crushing operations is essential.

Certifications:

• RIIMPO308 – Conduct tracked dozer operations.
• RIIMP0301A – Excavator operations or equivalent.
• RIIMP0304A – Loader ticket or equivalent.
• RIIPRO301A – Conduct Crushing and Screening Plant Operations.
• S1, S2, S3 certifications are highly regarded.
• Valid Australian driver’s license.

Skills:

• Proficient operation of mining equipment.
• Mechanical understanding of heavy machinery.
• Strong focus on safety and hazard awareness.
• Ability to work within a structured roster and under pressure.
