Responsibilities

  • Make sure purchase orders match up with invoices and shipping slips.
  • Process regular supplier invoices and code them correctly into the system.
  • Handle payments for things like tariffs and imported goods.
  • Talk with vendors when something’s off in the billing.
  • Keep general ledger entries clean and balanced.
  • Support the month-end process by booking and checking entries.
  • Keep paperwork in order for audits or management checks.
  • Suggest easier ways to handle routine finance tasks if possible.
  • Answer simple internal questions from buyers or receiving staff.
  • Always back up work with records and double-checks.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting (no diploma = not accepted).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting work, preferably in a structured office.
  • Audit experience or having worked at a tech firm helps but not a must.

Skills

  • Good at checking numbers and records.
  • Comfortable using Excel and online accounting tools.
  • Able to stay organized with high-volume entries.
  • Can write and read in English spoken English is useful but not essential.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is helpful.

Knowledge

  • Understands the basics of AP/AR.
  • Knows how to prepare for audits.
  • Familiar with monthly close routines.
  • Knows basic vendor and invoice matching rules.
  • Can recognize errors and fix them without much help.
