Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Perform underground wiring and overhead cable installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in electrical systems.
• Design and build low-voltage multiphase service systems.
• Connect power to various equipment, including AV systems.
• Ground and bond electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Renovate and upgrade electrical systems in homes and businesses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical maps.
• Maintain professionalism in all client interactions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in the electrical field.

Skills

• Electrical installations and upgrades.
• Cable splicing and wire connections.
• Load testing and fault detection.
• System grounding and bonding.
• Reading and understanding technical plans.

Knowledge

• Canadian residential and commercial electrical codes.
• Power generation and backup systems.
• Low-voltage systems (30 to 750V).
• Preventive maintenance techniques.
• Site safety and regulatory compliance.
