About the role
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to be based at our client’s site Hornby, Christchurch
Responsibilities
- The hours of works are from 7.30AM to 3.30 PM (potential for overtime), Monday through Friday
- Support the business through driving a forklift and assisting with some of the site’s production equipment and processes.
- Involve driving a forklift and assisting with the day-to-day activities associated with the cheese packaging while working with other operating staff in each area.
- Transferring product from the freezer to tempering and production rooms
- Must be comfortable with placing materials at heights and working in a chiller environment.
- Comfortable driving forklift in tight spaces
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in reach truck operations
- An affinity with technologically advanced food processing and packaging equipment is also useful
- Candidate with food manufacturing background is essential
- Physically fit with the ability to lift to weights on a regular basis
- Current forklift license
